This position requires the ability to receive and retain a Top-Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
Duties
If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for technical, analytical, and automation services in support of the mission. Performs, under supervision of Supervisor and/or senior IT specialist, moderately challenging litigation support and Audio/Visual/Communication assignments associated with day-to-day operations of the litigation support systems.
Typical work assignments will include:
Provides technical advice to litigation teams on legal automation options, systems and multimedia capabilities, including motion graphics and 3D visualizations, and support services available to aid in case preparation, trial preparation and trial presentation.
Provides customer training for new users and providing training and assistance.
Prepares computerized presentations using a variety of software packages including database, spreadsheet, word processing, mapping, trial presentation, audio editing and video editing applications.
Provides technical advice on legal automation requirements and system capabilities.
Works with trial teams to determine various ways to present graphic and audio/visual demonstrative evidence for trials; and other related duties as assigned.
Maintains Inventory, track, and checkout equipment to case and trial teams.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
This position requires the ability for the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
To be qualified for the GS-9 Information Technology Specialist (Litigation Technology), you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal Service OR one of the following types of education in a related field: Master's or equivalent graduate degree (such as Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Science, Computer Science, etc...); OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree; OR Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements. In order to qualify based on a combination, graduate education must be in excess of 1 full year.
Education at the graduate level must be in an accredited college or university.
Specialized Experience involves performing the following types of duties: Under supervision of Supervisor and/or senior IT specialist, provides litigation support and Audio/Visual/Communication assignments associated with the day-to-day operations of the litigation support team by providing Information Technology concepts, methods, standards and practices as they relate to automated Litigation Support functions; experience i.e., trial preparation, graphics, and presentation; and developing and managing Litigation Support systems that meet current and future needs. Preparing computerized presentations using a variety of software packages including database, spreadsheet, word processing, mapping, trial presentation, audio editing and video editing applications. Processing and indexing digital evidence using computer litigation support software. Diagnosing and resolving litigation support computer system hardware and software problems. Providing technical advice on legal automation requirements and system capabilities.

Education
