Duties
Responsible for developing and managing a consensus-driven wholesale supply plan that accounts for all requirements across all supported customers throughout the sustainment phase of the assigned systems’ lifecycle.
Validates supply forecasts, manages excess inventory and consumption plans, evaluates target stock and safety levels, conducts backorder reviews, identifies and manages get well plans, and optimizes the reverse pipeline to support repair plans.
Develops and implements outcome-based supply support strategies that optimize supply chain management principles to enhance system readiness and life cycle cost affordability.
Analyzes and interprets relevant supply planning policy to ensure established objectives are met.
Researches and implements new and improved supply chain methods and procedures and establishes criteria to identify and analyze supply chain programs and requirements trends.
Manages and delivers repairable products and services through the IPS Elements to enable and sustain systems for operational readiness.
Reviews and analyzes recommendations and identifies the required supply execution plan.
Identify, analyze and resolve problems as well as monitor the status and effectiveness of material support.
Monitors supply plan to actuals and conducts root cause analysis of discrepancies to address gaps using information included in demand forecasts, Sales and Operations Planning reports, inventory status reports, and real-time order flow data.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- Subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Executing inventory accuracy or reconciliation analysis techniques; AND (2) Executing material requirements planning; AND (3) Providing input into rebuild and disposal direction; AND (4) Coordinating repair strategies to initiate component repairs; AND (5) Communicating status regarding supply availability. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
