You will serve as a Security Specialist in the Corporate Operations Department of the CDR NAVY REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CMD (CNRMC).
Duties
You will be responsible for establishing adequate and reliable security policies and procedures for the Commander Navy Regional Maintenance Center (CNRMC) and the oversight of Regional Maintenance Center (RMC) Enterprise security programs.
You will assist and advise in matters pertaining to the enforcement of regulations governing the receipt, dissemination, reproduction, regarding, transmission, safekeeping, and destruction of classified material.
You will protect classified national security information and other sensitive information originated, or controlled by CNRMC from theft, loss, misuse, fraud, espionage, or sabotage.
You will represent CNRMC and RMC Enterprise as the security expert for purposes of providing interpretation of higher headquarter policy and guidance, command program compliance, development and implementation of Enterprise security instruction.
You will participate in meetings and briefings with military and civilian officials to provide information on security and related matters.
You will lead the planning, development, and execution of vital security projects and programs that are central to the mission that may have national or international impact.
You will schedule and conduct inspections assist visits and review security programs of the RMC Enterprise.
You will resolve problems or issues that may arise due to overlapping, conflicting, or difficult to resolve security requirements.
You will execute, develop, and implement procedures for compliance, training and development of security related certifications.
You will provide technical security consultation services and controls matters concerning classification, inventory, safeguarding, handling, transmission, and destruction of classified information.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector "Providing guidance or advice on security program policies, procedures, or methods to ensure the protection or safekeeping of classified national security information or other sensitive information."
