You will serve as a Public Affairs Specialist in the AUKUS Integration and Acquisition (I&A) Office.
Duties
You will be the principal advisor to the Director of Strategic Communications in congressional relations, public affairs, and internal information.
You will report to the Director of Strategic Communication and will be accountable for the full range of responsibilities of communications issues relating to both NAVSEA headquarters and field activities.
You will act as a communications advisor to AUKUS Integration and Acquisition Office senior management officials.
You will be responsible for overseeing planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of AUKUS Integration and Acquisition Office strategic communication initiatives.
You will advise the command on public/congressional affairs formulation and the most effective methods to educate, inform, and promote awareness, understanding, and support for NAVSEA's missions and programs.
You will supervise the design, development, coordination and implementation of comprehensive PA Strategic Communications Campaign Plans and Marketing Strategies that support the AUKUS program and initiatives.
You will identify, coordinate, and supervise the design, development, and production of print and multimedia products tailored to the specific needs of targeted audiences.
You will function as an authoritative expert on operational and business matters whose advice and recommendations affect top management and other employees with in the Command.
You will share/exercise the full authority of the Director of Strategic Communications with respect to operational, programmatic, and administrative activities of interest.
You will serve as the acting Director in the Director's absence.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-13 equivalency), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing congressional or public affairs activities or operations (e.g. communication processes and strategies, congressional inquiries and responses, research, community relations and outreach, press conferences, public awareness campaigns, marketing initiatives, policy development, and special events) to ensure the development, delivery, or promotion of an organization's message, goals and objectives, or viewpoints.
