You will serve as a TRAINING TECHNICIAN (MODELING & SIMULATIONS) in the MARINE CORPS TACTICS AND OPERATIONS GROUP (MCTOG) of OFFICE OF THE COMMANDING GENERAL. Initial consideration for this announcement is limited to the number of applications listed at the top of this announcement. Duties

You will plan and operate simulations in support of training events to include simulations database construction and management, exercise control support, simulations testing, and simulation federation operations. You will plan and operate simulations to command, control, communications, and computer (C4) equipment interfaces. You will instruct maneuver simulation models in support of live, virtual and constructive environments. You will identify simulation training, equipment, and contractor resources that are required in support of simulation supported events. You will research and implement new technology capable of modeling technology employed in modern-day battlefields

Requirements

Qualifications

GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, coordinating, integrating, and operating simulation models. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: administering, instructing, and maintaining simulation models in support of simulation events. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

GS-09:
master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related

GS-07:
1 full year of graduate level education

or

superior academic achievement
