You will serve as a EDUCATIONAL TECHNICIAN in the Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group of OFFICE OF THE COMMANDING GENERAL.

Duties

You will serve as a member of a team in the planning, analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of learning. You will support the design, development, validation and evaluation of assigned programs of instruction utilizing adult learning theories, principles and methods. You will apply knowledge of education principles, technology, multimedia and distance learning concepts to support determination of course goals, enabling, terminal learning objectives, educational outcomes and course design. You will assist in the plans for validating and evaluating courseware. You will assist to develop milestones and proposals/recommendations to supervisor via oral/written reports.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, curriculum design, development, and assessment pertaining to training and education programs. Education

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree,
OR
Successfully completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree,
OR
Obtained an LL.B. or J.D., if related.
