You will serve as a WRITER-EDITOR in the Research and Analysis Division (RAD) of the Ted Stevens Center for Arctic Security Studies of DDHBAP ASIA PACIFIC CENTER FOR SECURITY STUDIES.

Duties

You will execute the strategic direction of the Journal of Arctic and Climate Security Studies (JACSS), reports, and special reports prepared by staff, faculty, affiliates, and guest authors in support of the TSC. You will execute the strategic direction of the JACSS to ensure the unique publication shares interdisciplinary analysis and research related to Arctic security and climate ranging from the geostrategic to the geophysical. You will provide publication standards in coordination with leadership in research and analysis and across the center, plans journal content and solicits, researches, and drafts content for publication. You will work with an editorial team to evaluate suitability of content for publication. You will provide oversight and direction to digital printing, layout, and production specialists by explaining requirements and special effects to deliver digital content. You will lead most aspects of the publication process to assure timely publication of the journal. You will provide input for requirements and budget coordination with Research and Analysis Division leadership.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing oversight and direction for all digital and print publications for an organization (e.g. researching, writing, proofreading, editing, layout, printing, and productions as well as managing electronic databases and marketing).
