About the Position: This position is located within the 8th Theater Sustainment Command Office of G-3 at Fort Shafter, Hawaii.

Duties

Conduct interface and coordination on Antiterrorism issues, concerns, and recommendations. Review and interpret directives, regulations, and policies to ensure all possible problems are considered in developing the Antiterrorism Plan. Provide threat and vulnerability assessment analysis to the organizational command for discussion with Antiterrorism personnel. Develop, implement, and articulate Antiterrorism program requirements for the region office and subordinate commands.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) travel required up to 20% of the time.
  • This position may require the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 30lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
  • This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes evaluating the Antiterrorism program to ensure adherence of established regulations; developing plans that provide guidance on preventing and/or reacting to terrorist attacks; planning Antiterrorism Assessments such as risk management, criticality assessments and vulnerability assessments in support of exercises and oversee the execution of required Antiterrorism exercises. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
