You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST (OM&S Technical Team Lead and Supply Chain Management Expert) within the Supply Branch (1072) of the Property Management Office (107) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 ($145,617).

Duties

You will ensure the proper execution of warehousing and receipt, segregation, storage and inventory (e.g., packing and crating, shipping and receiving, accommodation storage, disposal, receipt/issue and control). You will coordinate and evaluate the efforts of inventory specialists to identify specific requirements and to develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions needed to meet each requirement on time. You will develop, maintain, and manage technical specifications, logistics support plans, maintenance plans, provisioning data, and operating procedures. You will oversee, monitor and coordinate the MILSTRIP process (e.g., depot-level repairable turn-in, Defective Material Summary processing, price changes and status updates in coordination with Code 1071, etc.) You will perform quality assurances inspections of various logistics functions including, but not limited to, receiving, storage, packing, inventory control, and causative research; and determining and reporting metrics. You will develop objectives, set priorities consistent with office goals and coordinate individual assignments to meet project goals.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and coordinating inventory management operations (e.g., planning, provisioning, distribution) to identify and resolve issues with supply chain management problems and ensure effectiveness and efficiency of a supply program.
