PLEASE NOTE: Based on the current hiring restrictions, selectees may be subject to additional approvals prior to an offer being extended. This position is located at the Bureau of the Fiscal Service, within the Travel Services Division, Temporary Duty Services Branch. As a Supervisory Financial Systems Analyst, you are the main point of contact with the agency contacts and travel program vendors.

Duties

As a Supervisory Financial Systems Analyst, you will: Be responsible for administering ARC's automated travel system used to prepare, route, and approve travel authorizations and vouchers in accordance with agency and federal travel policies and to interface the authorizations and vouchers to the accounting system to obligate and disburse funds. Ensure the travel system complies with the annual access control audit and that system enhancements are documented and tested. Also ensure payments comply with the Prompt Payment Act. Participate in conferences, projects, and training seminars in Administrative Resource Center, Treasury, and other agencies concerning proposals, revisions, and new or changed requirements that affect operations and assesses their actual or potential effectiveness in achieving desired objectives.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your résumé. Specialized experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes all of the following: - adapting analytical techniques such as researching, documenting, observing operations to develop detailed procedures; AND - providing advice and guidance to external customers; AND - troubleshooting and resolving problems within a travel system, charge card system, or accounting system. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
