You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Logistics & Industrial Operations Group of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Duties
You will identify and/or determine logistics planning tasks, actions, projects, and schedules required to implement/execute assigned IPS program responsibilities.
You will identify fleet logistics problems and issues and develop solutions/resolutions, identify tasks/actions required, and monitor/track implementation.
You will maintain liaison and coordinate directly with various levels of personnel and industry technical experts regarding various supply support issues and policy guidance.
You will assess potential support program requirements, resource impacts, and risk reduction measures for alternative Acquisition Strategy options.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Determining impact of maintenance plan, various logistics elements, and operational readiness as they relate to a maintenance environment; 2) Assisting in developing, preparing, reviewing and/or updating Integrated Product Support (IPS) planning documents; 3) Assisting in identifying and determining logistics planning tasks, actions, project and schedules; 4) Assisting in performing Level of Repair Analysis and Maintenance Task Analysis to analyze required operations and maintenance tasks; and 5) Assisting with planning and resource management to ensure resources such as materials, equipment, financial, inventory, human skills, or information technology are used in the most effective way.
For GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Determining impact of maintenance plan, various logistics elements, and operational readiness as they relate to an operational, intermediate, and depot maintenance environment; 2) Developing, preparing, reviewing and updating Integrated Product Support (IPS) planning documents; 3) Identifying and determining logistics planning tasks, actions, project and schedules; 4) Performing Level of Repair Analysis and Maintenance Task Analysis to analyze required operations and maintenance tasks; and 5) Utilizing business concepts of planning and resource management to ensure resources such as materials, equipment, financial, inventory, human skills, or information technology are used in the most effective way.

Education

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
