This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS), Data and Systems Group (DSG)/Division of Information Systems (DIS).
As a Information Technology Specialist (Systems Analysis), GS-2210-13, you will serve as an
ad hoc team/project leader or member involved in various activities to improve the efficiency and
effectiveness of the division.
Duties
Oversee and/or supports IT system project activities through IT life cycle development ensuring requirements for projects are met and adhering to best practices in design and implementation of IT solutions.
Analyze the validation of IT needs and requirements, including business requirements, data, access needs and security, to design and develop appropriate system design, access methods, and information security controls.
Respond to and resolves problems with software and systems management for IT applications.
Develop and make presentations on project status Represents Center, Group, and Division in group meetings CMS, DHHS, other federal agencies, Medicaid State agencies, and other components.

You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

In order to qualify for the GS-13 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1. Leading cross-functional teams throughout the digital service life cycle ensuring delivery of user-centric products, iterative delivery and continuous improvements, that serve complex customer needs; 2. Utilizing agile product management methods and collaboration to manage product roadmaps from idea to post-launch phases; 3. Collaborating with product stakeholders to identify and prioritize critical business needs, incorporate user-centered design and agile development practices to provide product recommendations; AND 4. Applying modern agile, human-centered methods to ensure the delivery of products provide measurable business value to customers and stakeholders.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
