This position is located in the Office of Managing Director (OMD), Administrative Operations (AO), Security Operations Center (SOC) located in Washington, DC.

Duties
Incumbent of this position serves as a mid-level Security Specialist and primary duties are as the SOC Credentialing and Badging Office operator. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Requirements
- Males born after 12/31/59 must be registered with Selective Service.
- US Citizenship.
- May serve a one year probationary period (if applicable)
- Suitable for employment as determined by a background investigation.

- Current/former federal employees must provide SF-50 verifying grade/status
- Current FCC employees must provide SF-50 verifying grade & status.
- Drug Testing Required.

Candidates may qualify by virtue of education or specialized experience or a combination of both education and specialized experience. If qualifying by virtue of education transcripts must be submitted. If transcripts are not submitted, the application will be rated as ineligible.A. Education
1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement (GPA of 3.0 or above). Transcripts must be submitted.ORB. Specialized ExperienceApplicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 in the Federal service. For this position, specialized experience includes the following:1. Experience assisting with the preparation of the individual’s badge file (consists of electronic components) for automated transfer to the HSPD-12 central badging office (GSA/USAccess).2. Experience fielding and responding to incoming personnel security requests.ORC. Combination of both education and experienceGS-09

For this position, specialized experience includes the following:1. Experience independently preparing the individual’s badge file (consists of electronic components) for automated transfer to the HSPD-12 central badging office (GSA/USAccess).2. Experience independently fielding and responding to incoming personnel security requests.3. Experience independently researching and responding to complex personnel security issues.4. Experience independently managing security information data bases, access control credentialing and badging, incident reporting, and files management.
