You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the LIVE VIRTUAL CONSTRUCTIVE TRAINING DIVISION, RANGE SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV, located in Virginia Beach, VA.
Duties
You will serve as the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) Security Manager for NAS Oceana, Dam Neck Annex, and Robin Hood Road (RHR).
You will be responsible for the execution of the branch's day-to-day operations and ensuring the delivery of quality products and services on time and within budget.
You will apply Human Capital Management policies and practices in leading and supervising personnel assigned to the branch.
You will execute the Command strategic direction, create and promote a shared vision of the organization, and foster cooperation, communication, and consensus among groups.
You will communicate with superiors, peers, subordinates, across the Command, and with outside organizations, sponsors and business partners.
You will establish objectives, set priorities, use internal controls, goal setting techniques, delegation, and team building to effectively manage the branch.
You will evaluate performance and provide appropriate feedback including recognizing superior performance.
You will encourage innovation and personal growth among branch personnel.
You will serve as Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) for the Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) contract responsible for providing security assessments of contractor performance.
You will actively support and participate in achievement of Division, Department, and Command strategic initiatives and planning processes.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) certification.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying Human Capital Management policies and practices in leading and supervising personnel to manage Security programs in support of the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE).
