About the Position: This position is located with the: US Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, Programs and Project Management Division, in Sacramento, CA. This position is eligible for telework, but is not a remote or virtual position. Prospective applicants must be willing to report to the duty station location identified above. Duties

Serve as Chief of the Military Branch A. Has oversight responsibility for the programs and project management activities related to execution of the District's large, complex and diversified Army and Support For Others/Work For Others. Ensure consistency and continuity of program management within the District and provides a central point of contact on assigned phases of the program. Interface with other District staff chiefs to ensure overall program coordination for planning, engineering, real estate, contracting, construction, and legal issues. Ensure the efficient, effective and timely execution of the assigned program in accordance with established objectives, schedules, and program funds. Ensure customer satisfaction by providing a quality product consistent with direction of higher authority, laws, regulations and policies.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must obtain and maintain possession of or ability to acquire a valid state driver's license.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes working with project management business processes and tools such as cost, budget, schedule, scope and quality of vertical design projects i.e. Military Construction/ Interagency and International Services (MILCON/IIS), related military programs, or civil works (water resources) projects.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsLeadershipProject Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
