About the Position: Incumbent serves as the Deputy for Programs and Project Management and Chief of the Planning, Programs and Project Management Division. *The appointment may be up to 1 year and may be extended up to 1 year. (24 months of total service).

Duties

Assess district mission and work requirements and in developing corporate plans, goals, and objectives. Ensures the establishment of corporate goals on schedule, cost, scope, and budget in Project Management Plans (PMP) in coordination with functional elements. Supervises a staff of planning, program and project managers, administrative and support team members. Directs the formulation of the district's civil works program and annual program budget. Resolves Project Management Plan (PMP) issues with functional elements to ensure optimum product schedule, cost, scope, acquisition plan, budget, and quality.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Business Travel (TDY) 20% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes oversight of Civil Works, Military, and/or Interagency and International Support (IIS) projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Decision MakingLeadershipOrganizational AwarenessPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
