About the Position: This position is located at Evans Army Community Hospital, Fort Carson, Colorado and provides assistant level support for Health System Specialist functions.

Duties

Provide direct support to Health Systems Specialists by organizing, collecting, analyzing and presenting information relate to current and future workload. Prepares correspondence, reports, and other documents in draft and final form using a Word, PowerPoint or Excel Spreadsheets. Uses accepted workload measurement methodologies such as operational audit, work sampling or time and motion studies. Coordinates plans with affected officials and personnel; resolves most problems; refers unresolved or controversial matters to higher grade employee or supervisor. Prepares correspondence, reports, and other documents in draft and final form using a Word, PowerPoint or Excel Spreadsheets.

Requirements

  • This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors. Are you able to type at least 40 WPM based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background is required.
  • This is an inclement Weather Essential position. The incumbent must make every attempt to report for work on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.

Specialized experience for the GS-07: One year of demonstrated experience writing reports to recommend improvements for healthcare program operations; performing a variety of automation functions to maintain healthcare administrative data, and answering recurring questions to resolve administrative problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
