The position is located in the Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Executive Directorate, Office of Management Services, Logistics Services Division (DS/MGT/LS). You will be responsible for coordination between Diplomatic Security and the Office of Facilities Management Services for all building management operations, maintenance of systems and repairs, and alteration activities for domestic facilities occupied by the Bureau.
Duties
Promotes safe, secure, and fully functional working environments for domestic building occupants, coordinates with facilities management in the development of plans and monitoring of schedules for building(s) maintenance and repair.
Coordinates schedule building repairs and alterations. Ensures clear communication with occupants of building regarding planned repairs and disruption to employee workspace. Assists with the project development and close-out for site-managed projects
Monitors and tracks building maintenance schedules and all building repair and replacement project schedules. Provides updates to leadership. Prepares and submits reports that provide important building operations and administration information.
Reviews cost estimates for technical accuracy. Coordinates with managers on funding requests and expenditures. Monitors building maintenance schedules to forecast future expenditures. Assists with prioritizing projects based on funding availability.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

NOTE: Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements, by the closing date of this announcement.
Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience using building management concepts, principles, standards and practices to provide advice and guidance to management on the most effective and efficient allocation of space.
- Experience using policy and procedures pertaining to logistics management services to ensure integration of different building management activities.
- Experience using regulations, policies, and guidelines to ensure that space utilization practices are in compliance with office requirements.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
