In this position you will work as a Program and Managment Analyst in the Office of External Affairs. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience providing expert and authoritative advice to the Director, Deputy Director, and External Affairs leadership on a variety of issues related to the Agency's external affairs operations.

Qualifications

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The time-in-grade and qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.   To qualify for this position at the GS-14 level (starting salary $132,360), you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:  Experience working with one or more emergency management programs/policies such as response, recovery, mitigation, preparedness, flood insurance, Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as other offices within an organization or with Congressional staff, non-profit organizations, private sector entities or state and local governments, and Experience analyzing large volumes of information and offering recommendations to senior leadership on topics such as emergency management policies, communication and outreach initiatives, or improvements to internal processes to increase the quality of outcomes.
