You will serve as a KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the AC/S, G-3 Operations and Training of MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT.
Duties
You will be responsible for determining the strategic direction of investment in technology that supports knowledge management.
You will be transforming data to organizational knowledge, providing oversight of storage and retrieval and emplacing procedures that facilitate information flow.
You will exercise control of the MCRD intranet site including responsibility for development and enforcement of web design standards, content, storage, access policies and security and standards of reliability.
You will support and/or perform tasks using various types of knowledge management web applications and software (web authoring, forum, portal, business process and modeling, collaboration).
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing the goals, problems, practices, organization, and resources of an organization to propose the most effective employment of knowledge management; identifying alternatives, risks/benefits, and ensuring the attainment of organizational objectives with respect to knowledge and learning management systems procurement, employment, usage, and maintenance.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
