This position is part of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy - Headquarters, Department of Energy. As a Budget Analyst, you will work in any aspect of DOE's budget process and provide expertise in the analysis of a variety of DOE budgetary operations and functions.

As a Budget Analyst, you will (GS-13 level):

Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENT:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
GS-12 level: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, GS-11 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Assist with formulation and execution of an organizations budget. AND
Review and analyze budget for requested funds. AND
Provide financial advisory recommendations in accordance with budget policies and regulations.
GS-13 level: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Monitor and advise management on the status of financial operations and funding levels. AND
Manage budget requests for conformance with program requirements and determine appropriate allocations. AND
Develop innovative recommendations to senior management on ways to maximize and improve utilization of funds.
