This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serves as a member of the Army Acquisition Workforce (AAW) Communications Branch, within the Strategy and Communications Division of the U.S. Army Acquisition Support Center (USAASC), Army Director, Acquisition Career Management (Army DACM) Office.
Duties
Assess opportunities and identify and implement innovative approaches for promoting and communicating Army DACM Office information through all relevant communication channels.
Write and edit articles on relevant information for inclusion in Army DACM Office publications and online platforms.
Establish, oversee, and participate in integrated product teams (IPT) that improve communication and collaboration.
Independently develop Program Management timelines and track IPT efforts, tasks and product delivery, making adjustments based on resource allocation and leadership priorities.
Proactively identify and resolve workforce challenges using focus groups, interviews, phone calls, virtual meetings, and site visits.
Support annual awards programs for the Army acquisition community via an online platform.
Manage an Army acquisition stakeholder network through on-going communication, summits and one-on-one engagements with senior leaders.
Develop, implement and assess annual DACM Office program communication plans.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 20% of the time.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Program Management Certification within 5 years of entrance on duty.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.

To qualify, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. This typically includes work performed at the next lower grade/level (NH-02/GS-11) position in the federal service.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Communicating effectively using oral presentations, website pages, SharePoint, publications, and written correspondence; 2) Formulating plans to effectively communicate information to target audiences; 3) Using online tools to administer outreach efforts such as surveys, blogs, virtual awards platforms, etc.; and 4) Analyzing data and evaluating effective outreach activities.
