About the Position: This a Military Technician position with the 9th Mission Support Command, Theater Support Group, Directorate of Human Resources located at Fort Shafter Flats, Hawaii. This position requires an active membership as a Soldier in the Army Reserve before a start date can be set. Duties

Advise managers on individual career guidance regarding military education and its impact on promotions and career development. Advise prospective members on US Army Reserves (USAR) opportunities. Research, analyze and interpret regulations to determine impact on military personnel administration. Review and approve requests for various personnel actions and Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) reclassifications. Maintain accountability for all military personnel records and evaluation reports. Operate various automated personnel systems to process and track personnel actions and training. Generate guides, Standard Operation Procedures (SOP), and instructions regarding new or modified regulations. Compose replies to written inquiries and general office correspondence using correct grammar, spelling, punctuation and format. Monitor training procedures and provide individualized training advice to managers. Maintain communication on all inquiries with internal and external organizations.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • THIS POSITION REQUIRES ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP AS A SOLDIER IN THE U.S. ARMY RESERVE (USAR).
  • This position requires a qualified typist.
