About the Position: This position is with the US Medical Command, Dental Health Command - Pacific located at Fort Shafter, Hawaii.
Duties
Serve as a human resources assistant for a Regional Dental Command (RDC). Performs administrative and technical work supporting military and civilian human resources programs, operations, and functions.
Coordinate with the human resources analyst, initiates, processes and tracks personnel actions including record updates, assignments/reassignments, contingency operations, awards, and strength management.
Provide guidance and assistance to subordinate Dental Activities (DENTACs) and clinics as required.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing administrative work supporting military or civilian human resources operations and functions; processing personnel actions including record updates, assignments/reassignments, contingency operations, awards, or strength management; and using automation systems to generate personnel reports or correspondence. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
