You will serve as a PIPEFITTER TRAINEE in the Structural Division, Repair Department of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.

Duties

You will assist skilled and semi-skilled journeymen and workers by performing the simpler duties of the Marine Pipefitter trade. You will perform simpler elements of preparation and preliminary work and occasionally more complex operations under close supervision. You will select and use the tools associated with the Marine Pipefitter trade for routine work. You will work under the general supervision of a Marine Pipefitter Supervisor and journeyman mechanic.

• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
