You will serve as a LAND MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the G5 Community Plans Directorate of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR.

Duties

You will serve as the Resource Manager for the Johnson Valley Shared User Area You will provide advice regarding the interests of local dignitaries and influential citizens You will provide support for the Commanding General and staff to support execution of program requirement You will lead a team of employees engaged in public information work, writing-editing and clerical work You Will Develop public involvement for United States Marine Corps outreach activities

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You must be willing must obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. Must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

GS-12:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing and implementing public outreach strategies for disseminating information and materials related to land use planning and management, wildlife habitat, recreation, and military training; and advising management on potential public reaction to policies and activities. GS-11:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Identifying communication needs; and developing and distributing materials communication materials (e.g. tri-folds, feature articles, news advisories, photo opportunities, statements, lectures and/or formal talks and positions papers) that inform appropriate groups of the policies, programs, services, and activities involving land acquisition and use.
