This position is at the full performance level located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA) at Central Texas Veterans Heath Care System (CTVHCS) in the Safety and Industrial Hygiene Service.
Duties
Incumbent collects and removes all carboard, batteries, plastics, metals, glass, wood pallets and other items for recycling. The incumbent will perform task involving maintenance and use of hand tools and powered equipment i.e., shredders, balers etc. and driving a pick-up truck or cart. Lifts and carries light to medium weight furniture and materials from one location to another as directed. Moves heavy cartons by hand truck, pallet, or dolly. Cleans areas where furniture, equipment and supplies have been removed. Wipes floors, walls, and picks up trash and papers. Incumbent helps coordinate and assists in flushing of water to include knowledge of program principles and procedures applicable to a wide range of duties in one or more program/functional areas.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 0700 - 1530 Possible rotating weekends
