About the Position: The position is in the Operations & Maintenance Branch with the Directorate of Public Works. Fort Eisenhower is approximately 139 miles east of Atlanta, GA; 80 miles southwest of Columbia, SC; 156 miles west of Charleston, SC; 175 miles southwest of Charlotte, NC; and 127 miles northwest of Savannah, Georgia. Fort Gordon's location is in the Augusta metropolitan area (also known as the Central Savannah River Area-CSRA).

Duties

Perform contract surveillance and evaluation for assurance and realization of government vested interests. Monitor contractor's performance to determine compliance with contract specifications. Perform mathematical analysis of various aspects of contract performance. Analyze contractor's performance and develops input to the designated Contracting Officer's Representative. Meet with contractors to ensure timelines are being met. Prepare contract reports and briefings as required. Participate in conferences, meetings, and discussions. Provide input to the Annual Work Plan. Develop and/or modifies surveillance techniques and procedures utilized in the contract evaluation process.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A pre-employment and recurring comprehensive background investigation.
  • Position requires duty travel from the duty station up to 5 percent of the time.
  • This position is inclement weather essential. The incumbent is required to report to work in the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience with inspecting contractors work performance and delivered materials and equipment to insure compliance with plans and specifications. Experience providing a variety of facility and municipal service such as heating, cooling, electrical, plumbing, roofing, storm water, elevator maintenance, custodial, portable latrines, refuse collection, grounds maintenance, and related services. OR Education: Masters degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education in a field directly related to the work of the position, in a degree such as Engineering . OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education above 1 year by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.
