About the Position: Fort Gordon is approximately 139 miles east of Atlanta, GA; 80 miles southwest of Columbia, SC; 156 miles west of Charleston, SC; 175 miles southwest of Charlotte, NC; and 127 miles northwest of Savannah, Georgia. Fort Gordon's location is in the Augusta metropolitan area (also known as the Central Savannah River Area-CSRA) and is an easy drive to Atlanta, Savannah, Charleston, Charlotte, the beaches along the Atlantic Ocean, and the mountains.
Duties
Coordinate, manage, and report project or service milestones and budgets, from planning through completion.
Ensure the overall management, control, coordination, and preparation for execution of assigned projects and services.
Ensure early identification of sponsor/customer problems or issues, facilitating the resolution of identified problems or issues in the most appropriate manner.
Ensure the accuracy of project/service data within applicable databases and automated information systems (e.g., GFEBS, installation status reports (ISR), computer-aided design (CAD) systems, geographic information systems (GIS)).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- This position requires a valid, State-issued motor vehicle driver's license.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain any installation and/or Department of Defense (DOD) license required to Operate light motor vehicles to and from work sites.
- The position requires TDY up to 5% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) developing and maintaining a construction project budget; 2) experience in reviewing project technical documents data before it's entered into an automated systems such as General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS); 3) experience in overseeing contractor work to ensure project requirements are being met and within budget determinations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
