About the Position: This position is at the Medical Readiness Command, East HQ, building 1221 on Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The typical work hours for the position are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Duties

Hold assigned DHA facilities accountable for taskers from external entities; disseminated, coordinated, fill, complete, and evaluate tasks. Serve as the DHA’s senior leader and advisor for Plans and Operations. Analyze presents staff actions, briefings, information papers, read-ahead, and other correspondence. Track ongoing actions for effective coordination on all official Defense Health Agency taskings. Lead performance/process improvement efforts within the Defense Health Agency. Serve as a liaison for Service-related taskers, policies, and initiatives as they relate to health care delivery, readiness requirements, and personnel. Responsible for the management and workflow of the Plans and Operations Directorate. Assign work based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of the assignment, and the capabilities of employees. Support the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program.

Requirements

• Tier 4: This position is designated as high risk, secret clearance. Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine suitability for Federal employment and/or the position.
• This position meets all requirements as a category 4 designation, and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the parent Federal Agency or office to function effectively.
• This position does require travel up to 25%.
