You will serve as a MILITARY SUPPORT SPECIALIST of SURFCOMSYSTRNCMD SAN DIEGO.

Duties

You will use computer software (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) to generate reports on department workload. You will prepare and submit personnel action requests for processing You will brief managers on the status of program milestones

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications

FOR THE GS 9 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: ; 1. Utilize military personnel travel, pay, service and medical rules, regulations, and procedures in order to determine individual situations, resolve problems, and ensure correct entitlements are provided to staff personnel. 2. Serve customers and customer needs through interaction with individuals at all levels in order to facilitate expeditious handling of requests and inquiries. 3. Plan and organize the work by coordinating priorities and commitments of the office.4. Interpret and apply guidelines involving program and administrative processes. 5. Prepare or compose correspondence, convey statements of fact or make inquiries, and to provide assistance. FOR THE GS 7 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Utilize the Defense Travel System (DTS) in order to assist staff members and act as Authorizing Official and/or NDEA for authorization orders and travel vouchers; 2) Assist management in identifying financial, personnel and material needs and problems; 3) Interpret and apply guidelines involving program and administrative processes; 4) Interpret and apply guidelines involving program and administrative processes. In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

FOR THE GS 9
master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related

FOR THE GS 7
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
