This position serves as a Program Analyst in the Justice Management Division, Security and Emergency Planning Staff, Litigation Security Group located in Washington, DC. The Office is responsible for implementing and coordinating the security requirements for the care, custody, and control of classified court information in all Classified Information Procedures Act (CIPA) criminal litigation as well as civil cases involving classified information.

The Program Analyst advises management on the effectiveness of all branches of security systems, to include communication security, physical security, information security, personnel security, and technological security in supporting functions, as well as analyzing and evaluating security programs and processes
As a Program Analyst you will be responsible for:
Analyze the effectiveness of security systems, security programs, and processes.
Oversee the security program for the Judicial Branch in collaboration with prosecutors, attorneys, counsels, and intelligence community.
Protect classified information involved in litigation.
Recommend or implement methods of improvements for Litigation Security Programs.
Serve as an authorized purchase card user and manage program budget.
Requirements
- You must be a United States Citizen or National.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance and drug testing.
- You may be required to complete a one-year probationary or two-year trial period.
- Selective Service registration is required for males born on, or after, December 31st 1959. Those not registered should have an approved exemption on file.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position of Program Analyst at (GS-0343-11/12), you must possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to.
If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF-50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information).
For the GS-11, you must have:
A. One year of specialized experience at the GS-9 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service defined as:
Assisting in evaluating the effectiveness or accuracy of safeguarding processes for records or equipment; AND
Supporting the implementation of data collection methods or improvements for a program.
OR
B. PhD or equivalent doctoral degree, or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., if related.
OR
C. Some specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and have more than two (2) years but less than three (3) years of education as described in B. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year by 36. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equals at least 100 percent to qualify).
For the GS-12, you must have:
One year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service defined as:
Evaluating the effectiveness or accuracy of safeguarding processes for records or equipment; AND
Assisting in designing or implementing methods of assessment or improvement for a program.
