You will serve as a TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER (ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL) in the EOD Department, EOD Systems Division, Maritime Systems Branch of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $145,617). This position is equivalent to the GS-13/14 level.

Duties

You will be responsible for managing the execution of projects including research, development, test, evaluation, and/or lifecycle support tasks in support of the Joint Service EOD Program or EOD Maritime Systems Programs. You will manage multiple small or large potentially complex project(s) to develop equipment, tools, and systems that can meet Joint Service EOD or EOD Maritime Systems requirements. You will manage budget, schedule, tasking, and risk on each project.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing and evaluating technical project operation requirements to develop, plan and execute project schedule, milestones and deliverables to improve efficiency and execution in support of program operations.
