Duties
The Cybersecurity Specialist will plan, develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity oversight for all aspects of the Force Tracking Mission Management Center.
The Cybersecurity Specialist will prevent and defend Force Tracking Mission Management Center Information Systems against unauthorized access such as securing computer and server systems, network, and data ingress/egress points.
Maintains and administers the FT MMC Information System's Cybersecurity Software Suites including McAfee Host Based Security Software (HBSS), McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), and Nessus Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
Serves as a member of the Information Technology (IT) team for all FT MMC Information Systems (IS) administration, configuration, hardening, compliance, and security reporting.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires TOP SECRET/SPECIAL COMPARTMENTED INFORMATION (TS/SCI) security clearance and ability to acquire program level clearance(s).
- Position is covered by the Civilian Drug Abuse Testing Program. Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R or a memorandum of understanding (MOU).
- Requires temporary travel (TDY), both CONUS and OCONUS, on very short notice.
- Subject to short notice recall. Wearing a pager is required.
- Assignment may require work/participation at unusual times (nights, holidays, and weekends); ability to supervise/direct contractor personnel, and occasionally participate in rotating shift work required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes demonstrated experience in 1) performing cybersecurity incident management by taking measures to investigate and resolve cybersecurity compromises AND 2) maintaining the Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation as directed by the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for the organization's systems; AND 3) troubleshooting hardware and software malfunctions to resolve physical; AND 4) logical processing problems and making recommendations on upgrades of hardware and/or software.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower pay band or equivalent grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02).
