About the Position: This position will provide Employment Readiness services to the installation and works under the general and technical supervision of the Army Community Service (ACS) Division Chief at Fort Bliss, Texas.

Duties

Compile work and experience profiles on clients. Use appropriate career inventories and aptitude tests to help clients focus their interests and identify goals. Establish and maintain continuous relationships with corporate industry personnel, small business agencies, local chambers of commerce. Use professional analytical skills and negotiation techniques to create job opportunities for DoD personnel.

Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in behavioral or social science, or related disciplines appropriate to the position, such as Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Geography, Government, History, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, etc. OR B. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR C. Experience: Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in career counseling which includes but is not limited to conducting interviews to determine career progression, providing training for clients to develop job placement skills and advising on career interests and goals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Geography, Government, History, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, etc. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
