About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Joint Interagency Task Force South, Intelligence & Security Directorate, Joint Interagency Intelligence, Operations Center Division, U.S. Southern Command, Key West, FL, 33040 J23.
Duties
Serving as the Collection Management Project officer for routine, special access programs, and compartmented projects, operations, and exercises.
Processing, validating, reconciling, and disseminating requirements and responses on all aspects of Collection Management.
Planning collection strategies concerning the conduct of Intelligence support activities to threats identified in DoD and National strategies.
Providing daily interface between multiple National Intelligence agencies to articulate collection and production requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must possess a TOP SECRET/sensitive compartmented information (SCI) security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
- Must perform Temporary Duty (TDY) travel less than 25% of the time in CONUS and OCONUS in order to participate in interagency and IC conferences and meetings or to provide analytical support to operations.

Specialized experience is defined as experience planning and coordinating complex GEIONT collection strategies concerning the conduct of Intelligence support activities to threats identified significant intelligence issues.
Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
