About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Joint Interagency Task Force South, Intelligence & Security Directorate, U.S. Southern Command, Key West, FL.

Duties

Manage training program to improve the effectiveness and analytical abilities of personnel. Maintain liaison with DoD, Law Enforcement Agencies, and other applicable government/non-government agencies. Identify the training and professional development necessary to acquire, sustain, and have requisite skills. Perform daily liaison and related tasks with J2 Staff and other directorate/Command managers.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a T5 (or equivalent) investigation.
  • Requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience to the next lower grade (GS/GG-12) level which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience developing and administrating training programs to support counter-transnational organized crime (C-TOC) missions for the command and newly assigned personnel. Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
