About the Position: This position is located at Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, KY & Clarksville, TN about 45 miles NW of Nashville. Both visitors & residents enjoy the shops & eateries of downtown Hopkinsville & Clarksville. This position will review, analyze, and monitor supply transactions in a Medical facility.
This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
Duties
Advise on any shortage of supplies that could affect a surgical procedure or patient care.
Coordinate with various vendors to set up training for new equipment.
Maintain Budget information.
Monitor and maintain inventory to ensure sufficient supplies are available.
Review daily and monthly inventory reports.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. A favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) is be required for this position.
- This position has been designated Mission Essential.
- This is an inclement weather position. The incumbent is expected to make every attempt to report for duty on time and/or remain on duty during inclement weather conditions.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement therefore the incumbent is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
- This position requires the ability to lift approximately 50 pounds without assistance.
- This position may be required to perform call duties; work overtime to include weekends and federal holidays, out of cycle, evening/nights, extended hours, rotating shifts, or on an emergency basis.
- This position may require occasional travel (TDY) up to 5 % of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in maintaining budget information; monitoring and maintaining inventory data logs; and processing, ordering and storing medical supplies.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
OR
Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as medical supply processing, storage, and distribution; sterile supplies, operating room, and surgical technician courses.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
