The incumbent serves as an Economist in the Division of Policy Planning and Research (DPPR), Research and Evaluation (R&E) team in the Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP). ODEP's mission is to develop and influence policies and practices that increase the number and quality of employment opportunities for people with disabilities. This position is inside the bargaining unit.

Qualifications

GS-13: You must meet the Basic Requirements listed and the Specialized Experience to qualify for the Economist, as described below. Basic Requirement: A. Successfully completed adegree in economics, that included at least 21 semester hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus. (Must submit transcripts). OR B. A combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major in economics, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. (This information is clearly reflected in my resume and must submit transcripts.) In addition to the Basic Requirements listed above, applicants must possess the following Specialized Experience to be considered minimally qualified: Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Specialized Experience: You must have at least one year of full-time specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade GS-12 in the Federal Service performing duties which include: Experience developing complex models for economic analyses of emerging trends in workforce and employment issues. Experience analyzing large data sets from various sources and using data analytics software such as Stata, SAS, R, or similar. Experience conducting economic and policy research using quantitative methods, and publishing reports conveying findings. NOTE: IN DESCRIBING YOUR EXPERIENCE, PLEASE BE CLEAR AND SPECIFIC. Education

To meet the Basic Educational Requirement, applicant must possess:
