You will serve as a EDUCATIONAL TECHNICIAN in the MARINE AND FAMILY PROGRAM DIVISION of MCAS BEAUFORT SC.
Duties
You will support the Child and Youth Program providing assistance to the manager(s) in the daily operation of the Child Development Center and School Age Care Program in program planning and delivery.
You will serve as a team leader for program staff with responsibility for the operation and program in accordance with applicable regulations in one or more Children and Youth Programs.
You will maintain control and account for the whereabouts and safety of children and youth ranging in age from 6 weeks to 18 years.
You will oversee arrival departure and supervise participants during daily schedule of indoor and outdoor activities and on field trips, outings, and special events.
You will plan, coordinate and conduct activities for program participants based on observed needs of individual children and youth.
You will provide on-the-job training and instruction to team members and ensure team members follow safety, fire, fitness, health, and nutrition procedures.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination and annual examination.
- Must be willing and able to lift and carry children and objects up to 45lbs independently and over 45lbs with assistance.
- This position requires "regular contact with children" which requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. I am willing and able to submit to a SCHR check.
- Must complete all DoD training requirements within the specified time including orientation, initial, DoD Standardized Module
Training, and annual ongoing training requirements, and required certifications, if any.
- Must possess current CPR and First Aid certifications.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing support to the school age care program or Child Development Center, assisting with planning and scheduling of age-appropriate activities, trips, and special events for children, and providing child guidance and caregiving techniques that support a program objective.

4 years above high school
OR
Combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
