This position is located within the Department of the Interior, OSMRE, Office of Administration, located in Washington, D.C. As a Program Analyst in the Office of Administration directly supporting several of the Office's program leads in identifying, evaluating, and improving workflow processes, procedures, and the work outputs of various administrative areas.

Duties
At the full performance level (GS-12) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Reviews, prioritizes, and addresses substantive and very complex issues impacting the planning, implementation, and evaluation of administrative programs.
Develops and recommends courses of action on a variety of taskings involving the administrative support mission of the Office of Administration.
Advises the Office Chief and program leads on critical issues resulting from conferences or committee meetings and recommends follow-up actions.
Coordinates proposed actions with other OSMRE elements as required.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualification Requirements: To qualify for this position you must meet the Specialized Experience for the series to which you are applying.
Specialized Experience To qualify for the GS-12, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service.
Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience: Provide oversight on correspondence control actions and assurance of proper coordination and policy compliance; using qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness and improvement of management processes and systems on both a short- and long-term strategies; experience analyzing and evaluating internal organizational administrative operations to determine their management efficiency and effectiveness, problems, or questions; Prepare reports and brief results and recommendations to management.
Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F.
One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
