This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Business and Technical Career Path (Acq Demo) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serve as a Logistics Management Specialist for Product Lead Tactical Space Superiority (PL TSS). PL TSS is responsible for acquiring and fielding integrated tactical capabilities to a variety of Army organizations.

Duties

Serve as a Logistics Management Specialist concerned with directing, developing, and performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, and evaluating the execution of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS). Responsible for cradle to grave intensive logistics management to support complex, major weapon systems from concept through field deployment. Perform the full range of planning, liaison, contract monitoring, equipment and organizational interface, control of other government elements supporting the effort and logistics phases of field exercises and tests. Support includes the management and interface with logistics element managers, contract support services, training facilities, Integrated Logistics Support Management organizations. Establishes or ensures the establishment of ILS requirements of acquisition documents and contracts. Monitors the status and quality of ILS development services and products.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • This position requires submission of Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Certification within 3 years of entrance on duty.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance.
  • Position requires Drug Testing.

Qualifications

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. This typically includes work performed at the next lower grade/level (NH-02/GS-11) position in the federal service. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the NH-02/GS-11 grade level which includes: 1) Drafting logistics support documents to aide in the development of System Acquisition strategies; 2) Utilizing aspects of the integrated logistics support process to promote an effective property management system; and 3) Developing life cycle logistics support initiatives to lower overall life cycle systems cost.
