You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the LIVE VIRTUAL CONSTRUCTIVE TRAINING DIVISION, RANGE SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV, located Virginia Beach, VA.

Duties

You will be responsible for the execution of day to day tasks and ensure the delivery of quality products on time and within budget. You will apply human capital management policies and regulations in leading and managing personnel assigned to the branch. You will administer the branch budget, manage customer relationships and programs, create and promote a shared vision of the organization, and foster cooperation, communication, and consensus among groups. You will establish objectives, set priorities, use internal controls, goal setting techniques, delegation, and team building to effectively manage the branch. You will oversee day-to-day budgeting and execution tasks. You will coordinate Fleet Training program managers and other resource sponsors and stakeholders to synchronize budgets, spend plans, and financial reports.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying human capital management policies and regulations to lead and manage personnel.
