About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W4JLAA STRATEGIC SYSTEMS SUPPORT ELEMENT.
Duties
Develop and oversees execution of all phases of the organizational strategic assessment and engagement process.
Provide oral and written communications to high level stakeholders to include congressional reporting to members of congress and senior leaders across Department of Defense and Intelligence Analysts.
Develop presentations, briefings, speeches, and articles for the Commander and key staff.
Manage the Serious Incident Report (SIR) information flow and Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) in providing concerned external stakeholder the information they need to inform their leaders and publics of the incident.
Conduct operational impact assessments of data using statistical methods and quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on an SBI with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- TDY will be required 25% or less of the work schedule.
- All 1st CIG employees may be subject to extend TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
- Working occasional overtime based on mission requirements is a condition of employment.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-13).
