Duties
Serves as the Agency's expert in Logistics business process management and has a major role in determining how various initiatives are executed.
Serves as the J343 Process Management Branch Chief, supervising a team of Business Process Analysts responsible for cross-process integration.
Serves as expert analyst, integrator, and advisor to senior agency management on business systems initiatives, and the development and implementation of related policies and procedures.
Assesses the impact of policy/legislative requirements from DoD and Congress to determine the required action.
Serves as cross-process integrator of process areas including logistics information services; planning and order fulfillment; audit sustainment; technical and quality assurance; and inventory, transportation, and disposal management.
Identifies, develops, and manages Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics of cross-process initiatives.
Analyzes and evaluates KPIs, metrics, and other performance data to ensure business process activities are meeting Agency targets.
Develops new or innovative approaches to evaluate and explore business process logistics solutions.
Develops future integration strategies and plans in coordination with HQ elements, major subordinate commands, military Services, and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).
Provides enterprise-wide process improvement and transformational initiative recommendations to top-level agency management for approval through various governance boards.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Business Process Analyst your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-15 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Experience in Wide Area Workflow management, alternate business process management, agency management reviews, and various process improvement initiatives.
Identifying, developing, and managing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics of cross-process initiatives.
Developing new or innovative approaches to evaluate and explore business process logistics solutions.
Developing future integration strategies and plans in coordination with HQ elements, major subordinate commands, military Services, and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
