About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. RRAD is near the corners of 4 states - Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. The depot's enormous maintenance mission includes the repair, rebuild, overhaul and conversion of tactical wheeled vehicles. Duties
Review shop operations to determine defected data.
Communicate with depot officials on off-schedule conditions and downtime discrepancies that may affect production's productivity.
Provide on the job training to new hires by established procedures and practices.
Provide feedback to supervisor on employee performance-based issues and training needs of subordinate employees.
Analyze data concerning labor, parts, costs, production requirements, schedules, etc. to validate program expenditures.
Review weekly program analysis to determine and recommend additional actions.
Develop production schedules based on work centers' capacities.
Release production orders to shop floor.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.
- This position requires that a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 be submitted upon entering the position and annually.
- In accordance with D0D 7000.14-R FMR Vol 14, Chap 2, employee must obtain required Fiscal Law certification within 90 days of appointment to position. Certification must be maintained and renewed as required.
- Position requires successful completion of the Project Management Professional (PMP) training within 3 years of appointment to position.
- Must obtain and maintain a Personnel Background Investigation (NACI).
- May be required to travel (TDY) 10% of the time for business purposes.
- Temporary promotion may be made or extended up to a maximum of five years.
- Temporary appointment may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of three years but cannot be made permanent.
- Temporary reassignment may be made or extended at management discretion and can be made permanent without further competition.
- Temporary promotion can be made permanent without further competition.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing production schedules for planning project timeline to completion, analyzing data concerning labor, parts, and cost to validate program expenditures, and providing recommendation to depot officials on shop operations to ensure production goals are met. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
