About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. Duties

Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates. Evaluate overall performance of subordinate employees. Establish priorities to meet maintenance program deadlines. Ensure review of procedures and recommendations for equipment and facilities. Analyze production data resolve problems pertaining to the maintenance program. Organize resources to obtain maximum efficiency of assigned production operations. Analyze production schedules for maintenance production programs to reduce costs. Develop long range work plans to meet workload changes and alleviate production delays.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • May be required to travel (TDY) 10% of the time for business purposes.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Personnel Background Investigation (NACI).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.
  • Must successfully complete the Civilian Education System Course and the Supervisory Development Course within 12 months of being assigned to the position. Failure to do so may result in an adverse action.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • Temporary promotion may be made or extended up to a maximum of five years and can be made permanent without further competition.
  • Temporary appointment may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of three years but cannot be made permanent.
  • Time Limited Detail NTE may be made or extended at management discretion.
