You will serve as a PAINTING WORKER in the FACILITIES DEPARTMENT of MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII. This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. Duties

You will prepare surfaces to be painted by sanding, fill holes and cracks in walls, ceilings, and floors with putty, etc; stain ceilings and walls; trim sash and doors; remove broken glass and old putty from windows and doors. You will use vinegar or acids to pickle galvanized materials. You will assemble erect scaffolds staging. You will perform routine-type painting on buildings (interior and exterior), structures of all types (metal, wood, concrete, etc.), equipment, streets and curbs. You will work on scaffolds or ladders at various heights.
