Duties

You will prepare layout and paints insignia's, markings decals or other identifications on assigned items, vehicles or equipment. You will perform maintenance and adjustments of spray equipment, cleans and maintains tools and spray equipment, including: pressure pots, high volume low pressure paint guns and air brush. You will clean work area, tools and equipment as required. At the end of the shift, assures all flammable materials are properly stored. You will promptly report accidents, injuries, safety violations or unsafe practices or procedures. You will maintain awareness of shop safety procedures and identifies any observed unsafe practices or procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You must possess and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain Respirator medical clearance annually.
  • Must successfully complete Respirator Training within 3 months after the date of employment.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required to include being recalled back to duty.
