In this position you will provide Logistics Test assistance and guidance to the squadrons, staff agencies and to integrated and Combined Test Forces.

Duties

Provides Logistics Test assistance and guidance to the squadrons, staff agencies and to integrated and Combines Test Forces. Ensures complete LT&E project planning and support. Plans Logistics T&E for assigned programs. Gathers related documentation pertaining to logistics, analyzes for applicability for future programs. Initiates and participates in: meeting with USAF/Foreign Agencies, contractor personnel, and others to identify potential LT&E problems, discuss and resolve problems. Assists in the formulation of Logistics Test and Evaluation (LT&E) policies and processes for the Air Force Flight Test Center. Ensures complete LT&E project planning and support through planning documents and developing detailed support plans. Plans Logistics T&E for assigned programs by reviewing program documentation such as the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), System Test Plan, Mission Need Statements (MSN), Statement of Work (SOW) or Statement of Objectives (SOO) Gathers related documentation pertaining to maintenance of systems and analyzes for applicability for future programs. Initiates and participates in meetings with USAF/Foreign Agencies, contractor personnel, and others to identify potential system maintainability problems.

Requirements

  • This position MAY be eligible for relocation expenses reimbursed (PCS costs MAY be paid). Specifics will be discussed with the Selecting Official.
  • Obtain and maintain Security clearance
  • This is a designated Drug Testing Position
  • Subject to Travel: Approximately 20 days per year
  • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station. Employee may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft. Overtime may be required.
  • This position has been designated as an Non-Critical Acquisition Position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP).
  • Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "Unscheduled Telework"
  • This position involves 51% or more of time in direct support of an acquisition position(s), or program(s).

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions located HERE SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include planning, directing, and organizing logistical efforts; serving as a technical advisor on logistics readiness mission capabilities; and a thorough knowledge and application of contingency planning principles and concepts. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques; an expert Test and Evaluation analyst is required. Knowledge of the mission, organization, and work processes of Logistics Support, Acquisition Logistics and Flight Test as it applies to aircraft systems undergoing flight and logistics testing. Knowledge of and experience in marketing techniques to include development of marketing tools. Ability to independently plan and execute all phases of an assignment; and for negotiating acceptance of concepts and policies where conflict may exist. Ability to resolve difficult technical/management problems and provide advice/training is essential. A high degree of skill is required in communicating, both orally and in writing. Skill interpersonal relationships. Knowledge of qualitive and quantitative analysis techniques. Knowledge of the mission, organization, and work processes of Logistics Support, Acquisition Logistics and Flight Test as it applies to aircraft systems undergoing flight and logistics testing. Ability to independently plan and execute all phases of an assignment; and for negotiating acceptance of concepts and polices where conflict may exist. Ability to resolve difficult technical/management problems and provide advice/training is essential. Position specific skills and experience desired in a potential candidate: 10 years aircraft maintenance experience desired Life Cycle Logistics Foundational Certification desired Professional Maintenance Certificate Program Level 1 desired Professional Life Cycle Logistics Certificate Program Level 1 desired
